St. Peter’s Church Laragh, ‘The Tin Church’ – Code of Conduct for Events

St. Peter’s ‘The Tin Church’ is a treasured heritage space, and we ask all event organisers, performers, and attendees to respect the building, its surroundings, and one another.

By attending or hosting an event at the Tin Church, you agree to the following:

Respect for the Space

  • Treat the church and its historic features with care at all times.
  • No open flames (candles, matches, etc.) are permitted inside the building.
  • Furniture and fittings may not be removed without prior permission.

Respect for Others

  • All attendees have the right to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
  • Harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

Health, Safety & Access

  • Keep all exits, aisles, and pathways clear at all times.
  • Event organisers must ensure the venue does not exceed safe capacity.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.

Smoking

  • Smoking are vaping are strictly prohibited in the church and on the church grounds.

Alcohol

  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited in the church and on the church grounds.

Photography & Promotion

  • Any filming or photography must be approved in advance by event organisers.
  • Promotional materials must acknowledge the venue respectfully and accurately.

Noise & Conduct

  • Be mindful of the local community, noise levels must be managed respectfully.
  • Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Events should align with the values of this peaceful, community-focused space.

Clean-Up & Waste

  • Please leave the church and its surroundings as you found them.
  • Onsite toilet facilities are available for attendees use.
  • All materials, equipment, and waste must be removed promptly after the event.
  • Recycling is encouraged where possible.
